The Violet Flame: A Child’s Knowing, A Seeker’s Investigation

Some truths are not learned - they’re remembered. And perhaps only a child can truly hold them without argument. Because as we grow older, we tend to exchange intuition for instruction, knowing for noise. But my childhood memory is strong. There are things I knew then - strange certainties - that the realm and language of logic have yet to catch up to. Logic, after all, only exists in context. It measures the terrain it stands on, but not the sky that shaped it.

As a child, I knew about violet energy. Not because anyone told me. But because it was there. Present. Undeniable. A living vibration that seemed to hum behind the veil of things, waiting for language to evolve enough to name it. For me, the Violet Flame was like that. A knowing without learning. A presence I hadn’t been introduced to, yet somehow already missed.

This blog is part investigation, part love letter to that mystery. I want to know where it came from, who dared to teach it, and why it feels - still - like something ancient wrapped in starlight.

A Memory of Light: My First Knowing

Some children have imaginary friends. Others have colours that talk to them. I had violet.

This violet had light. It shimmered with a quiet clarity that seemed to know everything, yet it did not speak. It shimmered with a kind of quiet intelligence. I instinctively knew to surround myself in it - sometimes with magenta and white - but violet was always the core. It was calming, yet invigorating. When I prayed to God as a child, I always saw violet - stretching across the vast emptiness of space like a presence more than a colour. It wasn’t something I imagined. It felt as natural to me as moving my arms. This was how I prayed, how I saw God. Always violet, stretching into the vast emptiness of space. But where did it come from?

Much later, I would stumble across names like Saint Germain and Elizabeth Clare Prophet and feel the sudden jolt of recognition. Oh, they know. They’ve seen the same flame.

Who Teaches the Violet Flame?

As it turns out, quite a few brave souls have stepped forward over the years to speak aloud (and occasionally shout) about the Violet Flame.

Elizabeth Clare Prophet - charismatic, controversial, and wonderfully committed - taught that the flame was gifted to humanity by Saint Germain, one of those rare celestial multitaskers who seems to pop up across centuries like a benevolent time-traveling wizard. Her organisation, The Summit Lighthouse, offered decrees, invocations, and spiritual tools for calling in the flame as a force of healing, karma-clearing, and inner alchemy.

Before her, Guy Ballard claimed to meet Saint Germain on Mount Shasta in the 1930s and launched the I AM Activity. He emphasised something many mystics agree on: that words have power. Not just metaphorical, feel-good poster power. Real, vibrational, creation-sparking power.

The Theosophists, namely Blavatsky and Leadbeater, introduced the Seven Rays to the West, mapping cosmic forces into hues, personalities, and purposes. Violet? That was the seventh ray: transmutation, freedom, and ceremonial magic.

And then there are the alchemists, those poetic mad scientists of the soul, who may not have used the term "Violet Flame" but certainly spent lifetimes trying to turn the lead of human confusion into the gold of divine clarity. Their crucible was internal. Their fire? Perhaps this one.

What Is the Violet Flame?

You could call it spiritual dry-cleaning. You could call it vibrational laser surgery. Or you could call it what it calls itself: a living field of transmutation.

In essence, the Violet Flame is said to burn away what no longer serves. Guilt, regret, karmic residues, emotional gunk, generational cobwebs - all of it. Not through punishment, but through mercy. That’s its superpower. It purifies with love.

It belongs to the Seventh Ray, governed by Saint Germain, and is often visualised as a swirling, radiant, violet light surrounding the body or a situation. It’s not just a concept, it’s an experience. One that’s often described as warm, alive, and unmistakably intelligent.

And no, it doesn’t need you to believe in it. But it does seem to wait - patiently - for your permission.

Violet: The Gate to the Invisible

Let’s talk science for a moment. Violet light, as in actual electromagnetic frequency, is at the very edge of human vision. It dances around 380 to 450 nanometers, just before we enter the ultraviolet realm - where bees can see but we cannot.

Which is poetic, really. Because the Violet Flame is often described as the threshold. The last colour before mystery. The final chord before silence. The final bow before the curtain parts.

And what opens that curtain? Decree. Spoken word. Charged intention. The teachings of Elizabeth Clare Prophet and others say the decree is the key that opens the gate. You speak the words, not to inform the universe, but to tune yourself to its music.

If violet is the door, the Word is the code. And somewhere between your chest and your throat, heaven starts listening.

Alchemy, Energy, and the Science of Vibration

Everything is energy. Even the thoughts that keep you up at night. Even the ones that sing you to sleep.

Modern science increasingly agrees with what the mystics have been saying for millennia: vibration is the architecture of reality. And if everything is frequency, then perhaps everything can be re-tuned.

The Violet Flame is often understood as one such tuning mechanism. A field, yes. But one that responds to voice. To prayer. To choice.

When you speak a Violet Flame decree with clear intention, you're not begging an external god. You're becoming a participant in your own energetic recalibration. You're choosing mercy over self-judgment. Light over looping thoughts. And frankly, that’s a kind of alchemy anyone can practice, no philosopher’s stone required.

Returning to the Knowing

There are moments when my ego, captivated by the logic of what is already established - but not yet what is unfolding - begins to question it all. And I’ve decided that’s healthy. To question is not to doubt the soul, but to stay honest within it. If the questioning ever fades, may it be because something deeper has taken root - not because I’ve clung to certainty like a dogma.

To force belief is to abandon truth. It is to follow principle for the sake of appearance, rather than dwell in presence. Perhaps one day I will know the Violet Flame the way I know I want water when I am thirsty. Until then, I honour the rhythm of inner timing, and trust the truth to emerge when it is ready.

I’ve felt its presence in moments of release I couldn’t explain. I’ve seen it in dreams. I’ve called it and watched things shift - sometimes inside me, sometimes around me. I remember it like a presence from a place I’ve never walked, but have always known by feel alone.

To those who feel drawn to it: perhaps it's not about belief at all. Perhaps it's about resonance - an inner alignment with something subtle, vast, and deeply familiar. A presence remembered not with the mind, but with the being.

And remembering, in this world, is a kind of instinct - like the way birds know how to migrate without maps, or how sea turtles find their way back to the beach where they were born, or how salmon swim upstream against the current.
